MacVoid 1.0: a quieter Mac, in one click

Today MacVoid 1.0 is available for every Mac running macOS 14 or later. It has been in private beta for a few months with a group of developers, photographers and serial tab-hoarders whose disks filled faster than their calendars. Thank you — the app is better for every complaint you filed.

#What shipped in 1.0

One scan, every known junk source. Xcode's DerivedData, Homebrew caches, old simulator data, package manager downloads and stale Time Machine snapshots — found in a single pass and grouped by what they are, not by folder path.

Review before removal. Nothing is deleted automatically. You see the full list with sizes, choose what goes, and it all lands in the Trash where macOS can bring it back.

The assistant. Ask questions like "where did my disk go this month?" or "is it safe to clear DerivedData?" and get answers grounded in a real scan of your machine. The assistant's tools are read-only — it can look, but removal always goes through a review card you confirm. Bring your own model key, or run it fully local through Ollama or LM Studio.

No account, no telemetry. The app runs entirely on your Mac. There is no sign-in, no analytics SDK, and no background daemon.

#Pricing, stated plainly

MacVoid is $19 once. Every update is included. There is no subscription, and the free trial scans everything so you know what it would find before paying for anything.
